Thoughts

My thoughts are…
Wow, that took a long time, but I pressed on and did it!
I had this idea of a story about dragons pop into my head when I was twelve years old. That would have been 10 years ago! Throughout the years I would think about it, write some on it, change quite a bit of it–– then finally made a Leap of Faith.
The Leap came after my junior year in college. Although school was going well and my grades were great, I felt tired. I was just pushing through life, checking the boxes.
I prayed. Really prayed. And peace washed over me about setting school aside and becoming an author. Not just to write part-time, but to be dedicated to it, to take the road less traveled. And so, I made the Leap of Faith.
It took me about a year to finish my first draft, but almost another year to rework it and smooth it out. I believe I went through at least six drafts.
I have learned so much on this journey and will continue to learn as I am already writing my next book which will become a series!
I’ll keep you posted.
I also encourage you to pray if there is an area in your life where you might need to take a Leap of Faith. If you can’t Leap…take a step.Allexis
